Wasim Ahmad Bari, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, his father and brother were shot dead by militants in Bandipora District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) of India on July 8 night, reports Daily Excelsior. ANI adds Bari was a former Bandipora District BJP President. Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbagh Singh, said that militants opened fire on Wasim Ahmad Bari, outside his shop near Police Station Bandipora at around 9 PM, in which Bari’s brother Umar and father Bashir Ahmad were injured in the firing, and later they succumbed to injuries. A combined team of State Police and Army personnel have launched a man-hunt to arrest the militants.
