The Border Security Force (BSF) troopers recovered five kilograms of heroin and ammunition from the Ferozepur sector in Ferozepur District along International Border (IB) in Punjab on May 9, reports United News of India. A Spokesperson of Punjab Frontier's BSF Headquarters said that the 14th Battalion of BSF deployed in the area observed suspicious movements of some persons ahead of the border security fence and challenged them. The suspects, after being challenged, fled towards the Pakistani territory. During a search of the area, the troops seized five cold drink plastic bottles filled with contraband, suspected to be heroin, weighing five kilograms. Besides, a nine mm caliber pistol, one magazine, and four cartridges were recovered from the area.
