Personnel of the 29th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) recovered 13 packets of heroin weighing 8.020 kilograms along with one pistol in separate incidents along the International Border (IB) in Punjab, reports The Tribune on November 28. While six packets of heroin weighing 1.270 kilograms were recovered on November 27 near the Jagdish border outpost (BOP) in Ferozepur sector of Ferozepur District, seven packets weighing 6.750 kilograms along with a pistol were recovered during the wee hours of November 28 (today) near DT Mall BOP in the sector.
On November 18, personnel of the 136th Battalion of BSF had recovered seven packets of heroin weighing 7.528 kilograms worth INR 380 million in the international market in the Ferozepur sector of Ferozepur District in Punjab, reports The Tribune.
