The Security Forces (SFs) unearthed a cache of arms including about 30 muskets, electric wire and tin containers buried under the ground at Goaltore village in West Midnapore District on September 25, reports The Pioneer. Police said that most of the firearms were disintegrated and were hidden almost a decade ago. “It seems that the arms were buried during the Maoist insurgency several years ago,” said a senior Police officer, adding that the arms were dug out after receiving a tip-off.
