Deputy Chief of Mission at Chinese Embassy Lijian Zhao on July 21 held a meeting with tribal chieftains and elders in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, reports The Dawn. Lijian Zhao, During the meeting, said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project would prove to be a game-changer in the region and that it would bring a revolution in the development of Pakistan. Zhao said that with its completion the CPEC project would give a boost to Pakistan’s trade and strengthen the country’s economy. The economic corridor project would be beneficial not only for Pakistan, but also for the entire region, he added. Under the CPEC, work on a number of mega projects in Balochistan had begun, he said, adding the project of Gwadar International Airport was one of them.
