Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Police on October 21 arrested an Islamic speaker from Keraniganj area of Dhaka city on charge of hate speech following the Comilla incident on October 13, reports The Daily Star. A team of Cyber Monitoring Cell arrested Abdur Rahim Biplobi (39), during a raid in Keraniganj area. During primary interrogation, Biplobi admitted to instigating people with his speech during a programme following the Comilla incident. In his speech, he called for arrest of those involved in placing Quran at Comilla Puja Mandap by October 15, threatening otherwise to hold a tough demo after Juma prayers and destroy Hindu temples, it added.
