The National Investigating Agency (NIA) on August 28 conducted simultaneous raids and arrested a Deputy Superintendent of District Jail Amphalla Jammu and a militant for hatching conspiracy inside Central Prison in Srinagar to recruit youth into the militancy and send them to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) for arms training to wage war against the country in Jammu and Kashmir, reports Daily Excelsior. The two accused arrested by the NIA during simultaneous raids were identified as Feroz Ahmad Lone, a resident of Budgam, presently posted as Deputy Jail Superintendent, Amphalla, Jammu and Ishaq Palla, a militant and a resident of Shopian. An official release issued by the NIA described Feroz Ahmad Lone and Ishaq Palla as main conspirators in Kupwara- Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) conspiracy case in which the youth were motivated to join militancy and exfiltrate to PoK for arms training to join armed militancy in the Kashmir valley.
