Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has accused Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Centre (CPN-Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal of splitting the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party (NCP), reports My Republica. Chairman Oli, speaking at the party's central office in Chyasal on June 24, said that the party was united but faced a split after Dahal failed to demonstrate sincerity. Oli also complained that he was saddened by Dahal's submission of the party to the reactionaries. Oli claimed that Dahal had expelled him from the ranks of ordinary members by abusing the number of seats given to him during the unification of the party. He said, "We did not chase Dahal and unity had been achieved with him. However, he did not work with sincerity and decided to separate dishonestly. The committee formed for unity, the number of seats given for unity, was misused in such a way that even the party president was expelled from the general membership. He made a bundle of serious allegations against the party president and with those allegations, he split the party. This is such a tragedy.”
