The Government on April 13 issued an extraordinary gazette notification proscribing 11 Islamic Organisations that have links with extremist activities, reports Daily Mirror. Earlier, Attorney General Dappula de Livera had authorized the proscription of eleven such organisations. Accordingly, these regulations may be cited as the Prevention of Terrorism (Proscription of Extremist Organizations) Regulations No. 2 of 2021.
