A Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) dump was unearthed during an intensive search and area domination operation near the forest adjoining Arlingpada village in Jantri Panchayat (village level local self-Government institution) under Jodamba Police Station limits in Swabhiman Anchal in Malkangiri District of Odisha on August 5, reports The New Indian Express. The area domination operation jointly conducted by Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel, District Voluntary Forces (DVF) and Border Security Forces (BSF) recovered a huge cache of arms, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and other incriminating articles from the Maoist dump. “We are suspecting that these explosives belong to the cadres of AOBSZC [Andhra-Odisha Border Special Zonal Committee],” Superintendent of Police (SP), Nitesh Wadhwani said. A Smooth Bore Breech Loading (SBBL) gun, a country-made rifle, two IEDs, Maoist literature, mobile charging cord, injection syringes and needles, utensils, plastic pipes, electric wires and other items have also been seized.
