Police found and defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) allegedly planted by Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres under a bridge in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on July 24, reports The Week. The bomb was found under a bridge at Made Amgaon on Made Amgaon Ghat road in Chamorshi Tehsil (revenue unit) during a road clearance operation, he said. "It weighed 25 kg and could have damaged police patrolling vehicles. Our teams often used this road," said Superintendent of Police (SP), Shailesh Balkawade.
