Security Force (SF) personnel recovered 12 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), suspected to have been planted by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), from Budhapahad in Latehar District of Jharkhand on November 25, reports The Print. In the course of the ongoing anti-Maoist “operation Octopus” jointly launched by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jharkhand Jaguar, CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) battalions and District Armed Police (DAP) in Latehar District, the security personnel recovered the IEDs during a search operation in the Budhapahad Forests, Latehar, Superintendent of Police (SP), Anjani Anjan, said. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused the IEDs of different weights, including seven and 10 kilograms, the SP added.
