One Indo-Tibet Border Police (ITBP) personnel, identified as Sunil Singh, was injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Narayanpur District of Chhattisgarh on April 21, reports The New Indian Express. A team of Police and the ITBP had gone to the spot after learning that a cow died after coming in contact with an IED in a nullah in Basing area. The Security Forces (SFs) were searching the area to check if more IEDs were planted. Jawan Sunil Singh stepped on an IED bomb which went off.
Separately, the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres abducted Deputy Inspector of Police (DSP), identified as Murli Tati, from village market at Ganglur in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh on April 21, reports Lokmat. The abducted Police personnel, Murli Tati, was deputed in Jagdalpur. He had come to his village in Ganglur in Bijapur District on leave.
