A Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant ‘commander’ was killed in an encounter with Security Forces (SFs) in Sopore area in Baramulla District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on April 8, reports Daily Excelsior. The slain militant was identified as Sajad Nawab Dar. The SFs had launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the Arampora area in Sopore in the District late April 7 night after receiving specific information about the presence of militants there, and the militants fired upon the search party of the SFs on April 8 drawing retaliation, in which Sajad was killed.
