An unverified video of Waris Punjab De (WPD) ‘chief’ Amritpal Singh surfaced on the social media forums on March 30, in which he can be heard saying that he is not "surrendering" and would soon appear before the world, reports Tribune India. "Those who feel that I have turned fugitive and have left my associates, they should not keep this illusion in their mind. I do not fear death. And soon will appear before the world and will also be amongst the Sangat (congregation), he said in the video in Punjabi language. In the video, Amritpal again made an appeal to Akal Takht (one of five seats of power of the Sikhs) head, Giani Harpreet Singh, for holding a vaheer (a religious procession) from Akal Takht, Amritsar District, and conclude it at Damdama Sahib in Bathinda District on ‘Baisakhi’ (harvest festival in Punjab) by holding Sarbat Khalsa (an assembly of all factions of Sikhs) there on that day.
