Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) leader Mahinda Rajapaksa will be sworn in as the Prime Minister of the ninth Parliament on August 9, at the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihare, reports Daily Mirror on August 8. The Cabinet of Ministers will be sworn-in on the following day. It will be followed later with swearing-in of the state and deputy ministers. The new government has decided to restrict the size of the Cabinet to 26 though it can be increased up to 30 in terms of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.
