The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Bihar (Munger range), Manu Maharaaj on April 6 said that the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres were trying to take advantage of the nationwide lockdown amid the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, reports The Times of India. “We are cautious and have foiled their attempts to cause damage to the Security Forces (SFs) during the lockdown,” the DIG said adding that “the powerful explosives that were recovered from Bihar-Jharkhand borders on April 5 were meant to target the SFs and loot their weapons. However, timely detection of the explosives foiled their plan.”
