A road near Kondasawali village under Konta Tehsil (revenue unit) in Dantewada District of Chhattisgarh was cut at about 20 places and three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were planted by Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), with the aim to attack Security Forces (SFs), reports ANI on August 21. The incident was reported on August 18 by 231 bn of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). It was informed by villagers of Kondasawali that a meeting of around 250 Maoists took place near their village prior to August 15 where 300 people of other villages were also called and directed by Maoists to oppose the SFs.
