The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) released a video which purportedly contains the details of an ambush in which 17 security personnel were killed in Sukma District of Chhattisgarh on March 21, reports News 18 on May 25. As per the report, the 12-minute edited clip released by the Maoist spokesperson Viplav, with a voiceover, has open-source footage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his cabinet colleagues and senior internal security advisor K. Vijay Kumar, all of whom are accused of killing innocent tribals. The video claims that the armed wing of CPI-Maoist – the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) attacked security personnel as part of their Tactical Counter Offensive Campaign (TCOC) against Operation Prahar. TCOC is a countrywide armed offensive that the extremists usually launch around March and April and carry on till early monsoon, while Operation Prahar was a joint offensive launched by police of Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Odisha, and Maharashtra from February this year.
