Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is going to carry out a comprehensive review of the existing coastal security mechanism to deal with poor capacity of state marine police forces and lack of enthusiasm among senior leadership handling coastal security, reports the Firstpost on August 16. The finances have been provided to the states to build required infrastructures. The work is proposed to be finished by 2020.
