Police said that they have busted a militant module and arrested five Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) militant associates from two separate villages under Beerwah Police Station limits in Budgam District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on February 12, reports Daily Excelsior. Acting on a specific information, Budgam Police arrested the five ISJK militant associates, identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Wani, Nasir Ahmad Wani, Bilal Ahmad Khan, Irfan Ahmad Pathan, residents of Gundipora village under Beerwah Police Station limits in the District, and Ali Mohd Bhat, resident of Warihama village under Beerwah Police Station limits in the District, and seized arms and ammunition and other incriminating material from their possession. Police said that on preliminary enquiry it was found that these militant associates were affiliated with ISJK and involved in providing shelter and logistic support to militants.
