Militants shot at and injured one civilian in Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on July 8, reports Daily Excelsior. The militants fired at Mohammad Rafiq Rather, a resident of Chandhara area of Awantipora in South Kashmir District, a Police spokesperson said. Rather received gunshot injury in the incident.
Meanwhile, an Army soldier while on patrol accidentally stepped on mine and sustained injury near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara District of J&K on July 8, reports Daily Excelsior. According to official sources, the trooper suffered injuries when he was on patrol duty at Simple Post in Jumgand forest area of Kupwara.
