The ‘crucial’ Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) which was scheduled to be held on July 6 (today) deferred for July 8, reports Republica. Earlier, July 4’s meeting was postponed at the last minute apparently to provide enough time to the top leaders to resolve the internal rifts within the NCP.
Meanwhile, co-chairs of the ruling NCP Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held talks on July 5, but failed to end the current deadlock in the party, The Himalayan Times.
