The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested two women, identified as Hira Devi and Shakuntala Kumari – the wives of abscondingleader of People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) – Dinesh Gope, in a terror-financing case in Kolkata District of West Bengal on January 30, reports The Pioneer. The arrested women were identified as Hira Devi and Shakuntala Kumari. According to an Official, the NIA had conducted a search operation at the women's houses in the District and seized incriminating documents. The case pertains to the seizure of INR 2.538 millions which was deposited in a State Bank of India (SBI) account in Ranchi District of Jharkhand on November 10, 2016; the official said adding that the efforts are being made to arrest Dinesh Gope.
