The National Investigation Agency (NIA) remanded three arrested Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres identified as Ramarai Hansda, Ashok Kumar and Nelson Kandir for three days, reports Raftaar on May 4. During the remand period, NIA will conduct inquiry related to the landmine blast during the Naxal[Left Wing Extremism (LWE) attack on March 4, which killed three Jharkhand Jaguar personnel in the hilly area of Lanji village of Toklo Police Station area of Chaibasa in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand. The NIA Ranchi branch has taken over the case registered at Toklo Police Station and is investigating the case.
