The Pakistani army violating the Cease Fire Agreement (CFA) fired on forward two Indian posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on March 8, reports Daily Excelsior. A Defence spokesman said, “At about 5.45 pm, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by small arms firing along LoC in Shahpur and Qasba sectors. The Indian Army retailed befittingly.” This is the second CFA violation by Pakistan in two days. According to reports, the Pakistani army had fired mortar shells and small arms on forward posts and villages in Mankot sector of Poonch District on March 7. However, there were no reports of any casualty in the Pakistani firing.
