The Border Security Force (BSF) troops shot dead a Pakistani intruder along the International Border (IB) in Chack Faqeera border outpost area in Samba District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on November 23, reports Daily Excelsior. The incident took place in Chack Faqeera border outpost area when BSF personnel noticed some suspicious movement of a person who was trying to sneak into the Indian side from Pakistan. The intruder was challenged and was subsequently shot dead. The incident comes a day after the BSF detected a 150-metre-long underground tunnel used by four Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants for infiltration from Pakistan.
The Border Security Force (BSF) and Police, on November 22, unearthed a 150 meters long tunnel originating from Pakistan and opening inside the Indian Territory along the International Border (IB) in Regal area of Samba sector in Samba District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India, which had been used by four militants, who were killed by Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Nagrota in Jammu District in the wee hours of November 19, for infiltration into Indian side, reports Daily Excelsior. “The tunnel had its origin at Chakpura Post of the Pakistani Rangers and opened at Regal area inside the Indian territory in Samba sector. It was 150 meters long, 20 feet deep and had three feet diameter at the opening. Mouth of the tunnel had been covered with Karachi made sand bags and it was freshly dug for infiltration by the militants,” official sources said.
