Police urged Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres who have contracted the coronavirus to surrender, so they can be admitted to hospitals for treatment, reports The News Minute on May 9. According to information received by Police, many CPI-Maoistactivists and leaders, including few leaders in Telangana-Chhattisgarh border areas and Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC) membershad contracted the coronavirus, but were unable to receive medical help. The top leadership of CPI-Maoist were receiving medical attention, but the lower rung of activists and workers were suffering, said Bhadradri Kothagudem Superintendent of Police (SP), Sunil Dutt.
