Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) filed an additional terror charge against Moosa Inaas, for setting ablaze a Police surveillance speedboat on fire on March 22, docked in the harbour of Thundi District of Gan in Laamu Atoll, reports en.sun.mv. PGO on August 2, informed that it has filed the charge of carrying out an act of terrorism under Article 6 (b) of the Counter-Terrorism Act, with reference to Article 6 (a) (i) of the same Act, with the Criminal Court. If convicted of the charge Moosa Inaas faces a sentence of 20 to 25 years in prison. Earlier, on July 29, PGO had charged Moosa Inaas and Abdul Latheef Ibrahim charge of “possession of material implying support for a terrorist organization” under Article 6 (b) of the Counter-Terrorism Act.
