The Punjab Police on September 15, neutralised a pro-Khalistan terror module with the arrest of two persons identified as, Harjeet Singh alias Raju and Shamsher Singh alias Shera, from a check-post near Hotel Jashan on the Rajpura-Sirhind road in Patiala District, for allegedly operating in connivance with five criminals, including a Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) operative currently lodged in an Amritsar jail, reports The Tribune. Six weapons — a 9mm pistol, four .32 calibre pistols and a .32 revolver, eight live rounds of ammunition, several mobile phones and an Internet dongle were recovered from the possession of the duo - both residents of Mianpur village of Tarn Taran District. “The Pakistan-backed module was busted on the basis of inputs about the nefarious designs of certain pro-Khalistan elements trying to disturb peace and harmony in the state by launching terror attacks,” said the Director General of Police (DGP) Dinkar Gupta.
