Police arrested five cadres of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), who were going to kill a land businessman of Simdega, from Ranchi towards Rania under Torpa Police Station limits in Khunti District of Jharkhand on December 1, reports abplive.com. The arrested cadres, considered close to PLFI ‘supremo’ Dinesh Gope and prized Naxalite [Left Wing Extremist, LWE] Tilkeshwar Gope, are identified as Arjun Munda (20) and his four companions, ‘commanders’ Michael Gudiya, Mukesh Chik and Pankaj Mahto. Surendra Chik, who was doing networking for the PLFI, was also arrested. The Police recovered a katta and a live cartridge of 315 bore from Arjun Munda.
Two cadres of the Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), were arrested from Latehar District of Jharkhand on November 30, reports jantaserishta.com. Superintendent of Police (SP), Anjani Anjan said that based on a tip-off, an area near Tulbul Talab was raided on November 29 night and the two Maoists were arrested. Police recovered a pistol, 12 bullets, an SUV vehicle and SIM cards from the spot. The identity of the Maoist duos is ‘sub-zonal commander’ of the JJMP, Akash Singh alias Suraj Singh alias Sonu Singh, wanted in 10 cases in Ramgarh and Latehar Districts, and his associate Arun Kumar Prajapati, adds thenewssense.in.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jharkhand Jaguar (JJ), India Reserve Battalion (IRB) and Jharkhand Police have recovered two (two-kilograms) landmines, several daily usage items during a massive ongoing search operation against Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) in the dense forest in Chaibasa and Goilkera in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand on December 4, reports The Pioneer. The Police and para-military forces intensified the combing operation sensing activities of the Maoists in the West Singhbhum District, about 120 kilometres away from West Singhbhum.
