The Security Forces (SFs) busted a Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) camp following an exchange of fire at Sukalterma under Melchhamunda Police Station limits in Bargarh District of Odisha on May 26, reports The Pioneer. The Superintendent of Police (SP), Padmini Sahoo said a team of District Voluntary Force (DVF) was out on combing operations in the area when an exchange of fire ensued between the security personnel and the Maoists on the spot. While Maoists fled from the spot, Police recovered bullets, mariner compass, and other materials from the camp, the SP said adding that Police is engaged in conducting combing operations in the area.
