In a joint operation, the District Police and the Border Security Force (BSF) personnelrecovered over 2 kilograms of heroin and 280 grams of opium hidden under the earth near the India-Pakistan border village – Jhugian Noor Muhanmad in Tarn Taran District of Punjab on May 27, reports The Tribune. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dhruv Dahiya said, the heroin was kept in a bottle while opium was wrapped in a plastic envelope. The consignment was brought on the demand of area drug traders from across the border.
