Security Forces, in a joint operation, killed six National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak Muivah (NSCN-IM) militants near Nginu in Longding District on July 11, reports The Indian Express. An Assam Rifles personnel was also injured during the encounter. SFs recovered four AK-47 and two Chinese MQ rifles, ammunition, Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs), and other warlike stores were recovered from the site. “The operation is in progress, identification of neutralised cadres and their allegiance to NSCN-IM faction operating in Myanmar is being ascertained while the injured soldier has been evacuated and is in stable condition,” the Army statement said.
