On February 19, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held bilateral talks with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas at Berlin, reports The Times of India. On the sidelines of inaugurating the Indian pavilion at the Berlin International Film Festival, both the countries held fruitful bilateral discussion especially counterterrorism issue. Jaishankar also thanked his German counterpart for Germany’s "strong support" to the expanded India-EU cooperation. Earlier, on February 18, S Jaishankar met top leaders of the European Union in Brussels and held wide-ranging talks on key issues such as combating terrorism, climate change and enhancing economic cooperation, that would "benefit both India and the EU".
