Police arrested three Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) couriers, identified as Poonem Nageswara Rao, Devasuri Mallikarjuna Rao and Palle Pogula alias Umashankar, along with explosive materials, a drone camera and a lathe machine during vehicle checks conducted jointly by Police, special party and 141 battalion personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Devanagaram under Cherla Mandal (administrative division) in Bhadradri Kothagudem District of Telangana on June 6, reports manatelangana.news. Superintendent of Police (SP), Vineeth G said it was for the first time that Police in Telangana seized a drone camera that was on its way to Maoists. “Had the drone camera fallen into the hands of Maoists, it could have posed a great threat to security forces as Maoists could have gathered details of vital security installations using it,” the SP said, adding ten gelatin sticks, 160 meters of cordex wire, five electric detonators, one drone and one lathe machine were seized from the arrested couriers.
