Police arrested three Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) sympathisersand recovered a dump of 414 live rounds of different weapons from a village under Dubbagudem Gram Panchayat(GP, village level local self-Government institution)limits in Gangaram Mandal (administrative sub-division) in Mahabubabad District of Telangana on August 2, reports Telangana Today. The sympathisershave been identified as – Bandi Sudhakar of Mamidigudem, a hamlet of Dubbagudem GP, Kalthi Sammaiah of Miryalapet, a hamlet of Dubbagudem GP, and Poleboina Saraiah of Dubbagudem village. According to the Superintendent of Police (SP) N. Koti Reddy, the trio had been working for the Maoists by providing logistic support by letting them stay at their respective villages. “A case was already registered against Poleboina Saraiah in 2006 in Kothaguda Police Station as he was supplying arms to the Maoists,” the SP said. The trio was trying to resort to some offence as a part of the ongoing ‘Maoist Martyrs Week’.
