At least three Pakistan army personnel have been killed and an equal number of them injured in retaliatory action by the Indian troops when Pakistan resorted to heavy shelling by mortars violating the Cease Fire Agreement (CFA) along the Line of Control (LoC) in Hajipeer area in Uri sector in Baramulla District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on April 7, reports Daily Excelsior. However, Indian Army didn’t suffer any casualties or damage in the shelling and firing. Reports, though, said that Pakistan army was trying to push trained militants into the Indian territory under the cover of shelling and firing. But after the killing of three Pakistan army personnel and injuries to three others, the militants didn’t make any attempt to infiltrate, sources said, adding that Pakistan army has brought groups of militants at launching pads close to the LoC for infiltration into J&K.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani troops continued heavy mortar shelling and firing violating the CFA for third consecutive day today in Balakote and Mankote sectors in Poonch District of J&K on April 7, reports Daily Excelsior.
