A joint team of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Special Task Force (STF) and the District Armed Police arrested a Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre identified as, Saryu Bhuyian and two other members of his family, including his wife Phulwasia Devi and their son Arvind Bhuyian, from Munshi Bigha village under Madanpur Police Station limits in Aurangabad District of Bihar on June 28, reports The Times of India. As per the report, the trio was arrested when they were about to leave for the Kanaudi forest to supply food material to the Maoists. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Anup Kumar, said that Saryu and his family have been providing shelter and supplying food material to CPI-Maoists for the last one decade. “Saryu also took part in a few major operations carried out by the banned outfit,” he added. One country-made carbine, three live cartridges, and a huge quantity of food material were recovered from Saryu’s house.
