Three people travelling in a car were killed in an explosion on November 19 in Balgatar area of Hoshab tehsil (revenue unit) in Kech District of Balochistan, reports Dawn. Kech Deputy Commissioner Hussain Jan Baloch said that investigations were under way to ascertain whether the explosion was caused by a landmine planted in the ground or by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by the roadside.
Three Levies Force personnel sustained injuries in an attack by unidentified assailants at a check post on the Quetta-Taftan highway in the Gazan area near Dalbandin of Chagai District in Balochistan on November 19, reports Dawn. Officials said a group of unidentified assailants raided a pickup in the Gazan area and indiscriminately fired at the Levies personnel on duty at the post. The personnel returned and an exchange of heavy gunfire ensued, resulting in the injuries to three Levies personnel. Following an intense exchange of fire, the armed assailants escaped from the area.
Unidentified assailants on motorcycles opened fire on two employees of Pishin Cadet College, injuring both near Boys Degree College building in Pishin town (Pishin District) of Balochistan on November 19, reports Dawn.
The Security Forces (SFs) on November 18 allegedly forcibly disappeared two Baloch youths, identified as Liaquat son of Sakhi Dad and Liaquat son of Saleh Muhammad, from Khuzdar District of Balochistan, reports The Balochistan Post. SF allegedly forcibly disappeared a groom, Liaquat son of Sakhi Dad, who was engaged in preparations for his wedding ceremony in Naalkudask area of Khuzdar. Liaquat was to get married two days later when the SFs detained him. In 2012, Liaquat’s father Sakhi Dad was shot dead allegedly by “death squads”. Similarly, another youth Liaquat, son of Saleh Muhammad, was allegedly detained by SFs and secretive agencies during a raid on a shop in Zehri town of Khuzdar.
