Two Kerala women who fled the country to join Islamic State (IS) has expressed interest to return to their hometown after getting disappointed with the life in Afghanistan, reports New Indian Express. The two women Fathima alias Nimisha, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, and Sonia Sebastian aka Ayesha of Ernakulam, were among the IS associated terrorists of Kerala who were arrested in Afghanistan on November 15, 2019. Nimisha and Sonia had converted to Islam after marrying Esa, a Muslim convert from Christianity and Abdul Rashid, who is considered as the ring leader of Kasargod IS module respectively. In a video released by StratNewsGlobal website, both the women expressed disclosed that their husbands were killed in Afghanistan. One of the women, Nimisha, who is in Kabul jail with her 3-year-old daughter, informed the security agencies that a Pakistani woman used to help her financially in the camp of Nangarhar and also used to meet other terrorists, reports Zee News.
