A Sub-Inspector and constable of Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police were injured in the first ever encounter since the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, as Security Forces (SFs) zeroed in a group of militants in Old Town of Baramulla (Baramulla District) in Jammu and Kashmir in the night of August 20, reports Daily Excelsior. A gunbattle was going on between heavily armed militants and SFs when the reports last came in. Two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the encounter. SOG and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are assisting Army in the gunbattle.
