Security Forces (SFs) arrested two militants of the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) from Longvi village under the Nampong Block (administrative unit) in Changlang District in Arunachal Pradesh on April 4, reports The Assam Tribune. As per the report, on receiving inputs about the presence of ULFA-I militants in the area, the Changlang Police, along with personnel of 19 Assam Rifles (AR) and 171/CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) personnel launched a joint operation. The arrested militants have been identified as ‘SS Pvt’ Jahnu Boruah (20) and ‘SS Pvt’ Chandrakanta Likharu (26) – both residents of Dibrugarh and Karbi Anglong Districts of Assam respectively.
