The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (UMHA) is reviewing the report submitted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) suspecting a link between Popular Front of India (PFI) and the ongoing protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), reports The Times of India on February 21. According to a Government official, UMHA is studying the report thoroughly along with the inputs receives from some states on PFI's alleged involvement in anti-CAA protests. The ED report is purportedly based on disclosures made by some PFI functionaries during questioning in connection with a money laundering probe against the outfit and a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) linked to it.
