A woman Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), identified as Kanti Mallik, surrendered before Superintendent of Police (SP), Vinit Agrawal, in Kandhamal District of Odisha on August 8 (today), reports Kalinga TV. Kanti, a resident of Gangaranga village under Baliguda Police limits, was a member of the Kalahandi-Kandhamal-Boudh-Nayagarh (KKBN) division of the CPI-Maoist since 2018, and is suspected to be involved in many Left Wing Extremism (LWE)-related incidents.
