A Yemeni national, Yasir Yahya, detained by authorities on terror allegations, died in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Male city, the capital of Maldives, reports Edition. He was hospitalised since July 21, after his condition deteriorated following a hunger strike that lasted for two months. Yasir married to a Maldivian, was taken under Maldives Immigration's custody on March 3, 2017. Following his arrest, Immigration instructed Yasir to cancel his visa and leave Maldives within a period of one month, but he refused, so authorities placed him in the Hulhumale' Detention Centre.
