In a special operation by Afghan Security Forces (ASF), on April 4, arrested ‘chief’ of Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-Khorasan), identified as Mawlawi Abdullah alias Aslam Farooqui on charges of orchestrating the attack on Kabul Gurdwara on March 25, from Kabul District of Kabul Province of Afghanistan, reports Hindustan Times. As per the report, Mawlawi Abdullah, a Pakistani national, was earlier associated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and then Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He later replaced Mawlawi Zia-ul-Haq alias Abu Omar Khorasani as IS- Khorasan chief in April 2019.
