A statement issued by the ‘Ministry of Information and Publicity of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagaland’ said that the fate of the ongoing cease-fire between the Central government and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland--Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM), due to expire by end July 2000, seems to have reached a flash point with the latter putting up strict conditions for further extension of the three-year-old truce.
