Three Army personnel were killed and several others injured when Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) targeted a military convoy with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Absar Kaor area of Turbat town in Kech District of Balochistan on February 1, reports Radio Zrumbesh. BLA spokesman Jeehand Baloch said in his statement that BLA’s Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) targeted an army vehicle in the convoy, which resulted in killing three Army personnel and wounding several others. He said that after the attack, the enemy as usual, tried to hide its casualties and financial losses from the media by sealing off the place to keep the morale of its defeated Army high.

Four Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) cadres were killed during an exchange of fire when they tried to enter a Frontier Corps (FC) camp in Nushki District of Balochistan on February 2, reports Dawn. In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the terrorists attempt to enter the camp was "promptly responded". One officer was injured during the shootout and that "intermittent firing" was continuing. The BLA claimed responsibility for the attacks in a statement. However, Radio Zrumbesh quoting BLA spokesman Jeehand Baloch reported that 45 SF personnel were killed in the attack when ‘martyred’ Fidayeen rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into the main gate of the FC headquarters, clearing the way for other Fidayeen to enter.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on February 3 that Security Forces had killed 13 terrorists while five Security Force (SF) personnel were also killed in separate clashes in Panjgur and Nushki Districts of Balochistan, reports Dawn. Terrorists had attempted to attack Security Forces' camps in Panjgur and Nushki in two separate attacks late on February 2-evening. The attacks had been "successfully repulsed" while dealing heavy damage to the terrorists, although one soldier was martyred in the Panjgur attack. Earlier, South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP) quoting media sources reported four Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists were killed in Nushki and one soldier killed in Panjgur clashes on February 2. In an update statement on February 3, the ISPR said that Security Forces (SFs) had killed 13 terrorists in Panjgur and Nushki areas. "After successfully repulsing terrorist attacks at Panjgur and Nushki yesterday night, security forces carried out clearance operation to hunt down terrorists hiding in the area," the statement said. In Nushki, SFs encountered and killed five more terrorists, bringing the number of total killings to nine, the ISPR said, adding that four soldiers, including an officer, were killed while repulsing the attack. Meanwhile, in Panjgur, four terrorists were killed while at least four to five were "encircled by security forces", the statement said.

Three militants were killed by Security Forces (SFs) during a search operation in the Balgatar area of Kech District in Balochistan on February 4, reports Dawn. "The terrorists' hideout was surrounded on a major intelligence tip-off," the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. "Security forces encircled the well dug out [hideout] and [engaged] in an intense exchange of fire" with the terrorists hiding there, it said, adding that three terrorists were killed in the incident. The statement said the killed terrorists were identified as militant commanders Summair alias Bahar, Altaf alias Lalik and Phailan Baloch, who was involved in terrorism activities against SFs in Hoshab, Panjgur and other areas.

One Baloch person was killed and another one found injured when SFs allegedly whisked away two bothers in Tirtij area of Awaran District on February 11, reports Radio Zrumbesh. Military personnel detained two brothers Muhammad Ali son of Dinar and Wahid son of Dinar from their house and took them to the camp and severely tortured them. The elder brother 'Muhammad Ali son of Dinar' was killed during the torture while the younger brother 'Wahid son of Dinar' was brought to the village in critical condition and thrown away. The condition of younger brother said to be critical due to the torture of the military personnel. Instead of handing over the body of killed Muhammad Ali to his relatives, the military personnel dug a pit with a tractor without performing any religious rites.

The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) held a press conference in the Quetta Press Club on February 11 where the VBMP General Secretary Sammi Deen Baloch addressed journalists and the public on the recent alarming developments in Balochistan and said that after the Panjgur and Nushki attacks, “enforced disappearances” and “kill-and-dumps” have seen an alarming spike in the province, and the trend is frightening, reports The Balochistan Post. Sammi Baloch said that “enforced disappearances” have been a major human rights issue in Balochistan for the past two decades – the rate of disappearances has increased and slowed down at times, but it has never stopped. But in the past two weeks, especially after the attacks on FC headquarters in Panjgur and Nushki, “enforced disappearances” have increased manifolds.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the SFs conducted an operation on the presence of a militant hideout. “Once the troops started cordoning the area, terrorists tried to flee their hideout and opened indiscriminate fire. Resultantly, terrorist commander Hidayat aka Balaach was killed in the operation,” the ISPR statement read. The ISPR said the killed commander was involved in firing and IED attacks on SF in Gwadar and Pasni areas. A cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered.

The SFs summoned aerial help but the attackers had managed to escape by then. BRAS claimed responsibility for the attack. In a media statement, Baloch Khan, the BRAS spokesperson said that the Pakistani forces had sustained casualties and material damage. Baloch Khan said after being “utterly vanquished” in “successful guerrilla operations” both in cities and in the mountains, the Pakistani forces are now targeting innocent Baloch civilians. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said "once the troops started cordoning [off] the area, [the] terrorists tried to flee their hideout and opened indiscriminate fire whereby a heavy exchange of fire ensued," the statement said. 10 terrorists, including Commander Master Asif alias Mukesh, were killed in the exchange of fire, adding that the militants were involved in recent firing incidents and attacks on SFs in Turbat and Pasni. "In addition, a huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered which was planned for use against security forces," the ISPR statement added.

Earlier, it was reported that BAP leader Agha Habib Shah along with four other people were injured in a bomb blast. Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack. In a media statement, BLA said that members of its Special Tactical Operation Squad carried out the attack that killed the BAP leader. “Habib Shah abandoned the Baloch freedom struggle and surrendered before the enemy forces in 2016. Since then, he was heading a death squad in Kalat under the patronage of Zia Langove”, BLA said in the statement. BLA said that Shah had been involved in espionage, enforced disappearances and military operations against Baloch “pro-independence” groups in Kalat and its environs that resulted in the “martyrdom” of several BLA fighters. “BLA’s operations against occupying forces and its agents will continue”, the group reiterated.

In a statement released to media, Baloch Khan, the spokesperson of the BRAS, claimed the responsibility of the attack.
