Jayesh Pujari alias Shaheer Shakeer Shah Shashikant Pujari, who is at present in custody of Nagpur Police for threatening Union minister Nitin Gadkari twice, claimed that the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and its sponsored organization, the Popular Front of India (PFI), had planned to kill Karnataka’s former Deputy Chief Minister KS Eshwarappa for his “rhetoric against the minorities”, The Times of India reports on April 14. Pujari was arrested for making threatening calls to Union minister Nitin Gadkari's office. Nagpur Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar stated that probe revealed that he had connections with the Dawood gang, PFI and LeT, adds msn.com. The Dhantoli Police in Nagpur has invoked the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against him.
